Elizabeth's Visit

In July we were lucky enough to host our good friend Elizabeth for a weekend. She flew up here on Thursday night and we enjoyed dinner on the rooftop patio at Luis Ristorante in downtown St. Paul.

It's been about 2 years since I've seen Elizabeth, and it was great to see her. David was busy Friday, so Elizabeth and I got up and grabbed breakfast before heading to the MOA. We shopped there for a few hours, and then met David back home. We then went to Grand Ave and walked through a few of our favorite spots before having dinner at The Blue Door for a juicy lucy and cheese curds.

Saturday we grabbed breakfast at Louisiana Cafe, stopped by the Cathedral for a walk-through and spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool.  We had dinner at Chino Latino before going to Orchestra Hall that evening for a performance that Cantus was singing a couple of songs in during Act II.

Honoring a legend.

We left the show and grabbed dessert at Cafe Latte.  After church on Sunday we went to Cafe Latte for lunch, and then took her to the airport.   It was a fast weekend, but lots of fun!  It was great to catch up with Elizabeth.
